About us - The Manifesto
Studio Oblivion, a New York-based design studio, is born from a journey of rediscovery, inspired by the serene rhythms of nature and the haunting depth of Maurice Blanchot’s short novel Awaiting Oblivion.
After a decade of crafting bespoke silhouettes for icons—Rihanna, Doja Cat, and Naomi Campbell—and gracing the pages of Harper’s Bazaar and Elle, our founder sought a different pulse. Leaving the frantic velocity of high fashion for the deliberate rhythms of the earth, she founded Studio Oblivion: a sanctuary where the "intellectual soul" of Haute Couture is distilled into intimate, wearable art.
The Silk Material: Wearing the Moonlight
We do not simply use silk; we curate light. Our signature silk charmeuse is selected for its ethereal drape and liquid luster—an experience we describe as "wearing the moonlight on your body."
Momme (pronounced "mom-ee") measures the weight and density of silk, representing the weight in pounds of a piece of silk 45 inches wide by 100 yards long.
It is a second skin that breathes with a cool, cerebral elegance, grounding the wearer in a moment of quiet, tactile luxury. Explore our silk bralette.
